Most products sold by Clark and Partners may be purchased free of VAT, provided the person who will use the product meets the eligibility requirements discussed below. Our scooters and wheelchairs qualify for zero VAT rating. Riser-recliner chairs and products designed to help people who have a chronic condition or long lasting illness also qualify.

Whilst the majority of our customers are eligible for VAT exempt purchases of mobility products, our prices are quoted both inclusive and exclusive of VAT to reflect that not every customer is exempt. We require that you complete the VAT exemption form before completing the order, or you can choose not to complete the form and VAT will be added.

To qualify for an exempt purchase, the person the scooter or product is being purchased for must have a chronic (long lasting) disabling condition or illness, though they need not be registered disabled. Arthritis is an example of a possible chronic condition. Registered charities may also make VAT exempt purchases.

Please bear in mind for vat exempt items we will need to send you the necessary paperwork to sign, so this may delay your order slightly.   We will do our best to speed things up as much as possible for you.

Alternatively, you can print the relevant vat exemption form off along with a copy of your order, sign and post both to us which will help to expedite your order. Please feel free to take this information into any of our showrooms or purchase items direct from there.

Some items within our product range are not eligible for vat exemption as they are not deemed so by the manufacturer because of their use, these are indicated on each product page. If you select any of the vat inclusive products please remember to include vat when completing your order, you are able to purchase both inc and ex vat products on the same order and you will need to sign the vat exemption form for the ex vat items only.
