Fame at Last……..

Some of you might think our staff look very familiar, especially at our Doncaster branch.  Sue Shaw has worked for Clark and Partners for over 10 years but now she’s setting her sights on an acting career after her You Tube success.  Customers often tell us they want to hear how a product works from real people and not just sales or technical talk.  Understanding what something can do for you makes you much more inclined to give it a go and listening to experiences from people who deal with goods daily can be a great help.

Sue has recorded several videos showing customers products including stairlifts, bathing aids and walking sticks.  The rise and recline chair video received 103 hits within the first few days of release.  They aren’t your usual sales type films designed to sell you something you don’t need.  They give real information and answer questions commonly asked by customers, whilst sharing the experience Sue has gained over her years in the mobility industry.

Last week a customer in the Doncaster branch recognised Sue from her You Tube fame and thanked her for her helpful tips and advice. Other members of the retail team will also be sharing their knowledge, providing videos via You Tube so customers can find out more information prior to visiting our shops.  The only danger now is losing our valuable team toHollywoodif fame goes to their head!!

Sunrise Quickie Xenon

Paul McGee on a Quickie Xenon

Hot on the heels of the Quickie Helium comes the Quickie Xenon.

Here at Clark and Partners we have a variety of different colours and specification to see in our showroom. What’s great about the Xenon is it’s the world’s lightest folding wheelchair currently available on the market.

At just 8.4kg the Xenon’s not only the lightest wheelchair but has an innovative crossed brace technology. This means that the Xenon is easy to fold with just one hand without losing any of the stability that comes with rigid chairs.

The Xenon also has a Quickie patented locking system which makes transporting it a hassle free experience.

With its minimalist style you can see why it’s such a sought after model.

If you’d like to see one in the flesh and see the vast amount of specification available give us a call here at Clark and Partners to arrange a test drive on 0114 2293391

Congratulations to Ruth Rhymes from Doncaster

Today we visited Doncaster Wheelchair Services to present the prize of £100 M&S vouchers to the winner of our NHS open day prize draw.

The winner was Ruth Rhymes, an Occupational Therapist and the prize Ruth won was from our NHS open day back in March.

There was another prize draw that day of £500 worth of equipment vouchers which was won by Tess Daily.  This equipment could be anything from the Sunrise Medical Range of products we supply into NHS Wheelchair Services and includes wheelchairs such as the Quickie, Breezy and Lomax Brands.

Tess is an Occupational Therapist from Leeds wheelchair services.

Clark and Partners would like to thank all who attended on that special day and say congratulations to the prize winners.

The Naidex show

Naidex Show

The Naidex show

This week was my first day out at the annual Naidex show at the NEC in Birmingham, and I have to say it was a real eye opener. The vast array of products available really was outstanding. This also included new products entering the market and I couldn’t help but think how inspiring it is that there really are some clever people out there making a difference in peoples lives by inventing these fantastic products.

Among the ideas I saw were the Stairsteady, a product for giving people a helping hand to climb the stairs. This would be great for someone who doesn’t need a stairlift but could use something to hold onto better than a banister rail. What’s great about this product was its simplicity.  It consisted of a horizontal bar which you held in front of yourself as it locked where you left it as you walked, and they say the simple ideas are the best.

There were wheelchairs that can climb stairs such as the Scalamobil by Alber, and even a device to enable people with paraplegic conditions the ability to stand and even walk. I couldn’t help but think the future had well and truly arrived with this breakthrough in technology. The bionic device named eLEGS had a full skeleton structure which was adjusted to fit the individual and strapped to the body over clothing. Now OK, it naturally came with an impressive price tag too but I couldn’t help but imagine just where this product would be in the next few years and the lives it could change. The future really had arrived and it looked brighter than ever.

All the big names were there Sunrise, Invacare, Kuschal, Quickie, Ottobock and Handicare alongside smaller manufacturers and inventors. All in all an enjoyable and educational day.

Today was a NHS review day here at Clark and Partners head office in Orgreave and we took great pleasure in assisting Sunrise in their launch of the new Quickie Xenon introducing it to healthcare professionals such as occupational therapists and physiotherapists. The Xenon is part of the world class Quickie range of wheelchairs.

A great day was had by all accounts and it was fantastic to see staff and healthcare professionals actively getting involved and excited about up and coming products.

The four new models available consist of two powered wheelchairs and two self propelled wheelchairs all holding their own unique selling points.

The new Quickie Xenon above anything else boasts to be the lightest folding wheelchair in the world, which together with the usual sleek design makes the new addition to the Quickie family a much sought after model. There was also the Quickie Helium as part of the active chair range together with two powered wheelchairs.

The day gave us the opportunity to review the Quickie Salsa M model, which was launched 8 months ago and has revolutionary Mid-wheeled drive technology making it able to deliver a more compact turning circle. This powered wheelchair has ever growing popularity and this seems set to continue.

There was also the opportunity to view the Quickie Salsa M Kids with paediatric seating, which is due to be launched soon and will give the opportunity for staff and customers to try this out and use for future assessments.

All these chairs are available for wheelchair users to try out to see how they compare to what they are currently using. For a test drive call 01142293386.
